Zimbabwe Television Network (ZTN) anchor Robert Mukondiwa (40) has been granted ZWL$2000 bail.
Mukondiwa is facing indecent assault charges.
Mukondiwa was remanded in custody to April 12, when he appeared in court for sodomy on Friday.
According to the state, on March 2, 2021 and around 2300 hours, Mukondiwa unlawfully and with indecent intent had anal sexual intercourse with Moses Saidi.
The State alleges that on the said day Mukondiwa touched the complainant’s shoulders asking for his story but the complainant refused to be touched.
Mukondiwa then went in to force himself on to the complainant and after the act, he begged Saidi not to tell anyone and gave him US$20.
After the act, the complainant went home and told Tsungai Mutasa he was no longer comfortable working with the accused person.
Mutasa then assigned one, Frank to whom the complainant revealed the reason behind not wanting to work with the accused.
This is when the matter was reported to the police on March 17, 2021, leading to the arrest of the accused.
