In astatement the Commanding Officer for Midlands (PROPOL) said the leaking of water taps and maintenance of fowls runs in the camps was contributed to the water bill.

In the statement it was advised that vegetable beds be removed close to buildings to avoid weakening of the foundation.

“Each family to be limited to only one standard vegetable bed,” read part of the statement.

“Rearing of chickens to be strictly limited to a maximum of 10 birds per family.”

The statement instructed that civilians should not be allowed to fetch water from police camps.
Officers in Charge and Commanders were put in charge to enforce the regulations to help minimize the water bill.

“Commanders and Officers in charge at stations to enforce the resolution and make a follow up for compliance and the provincial command will visit stations and camps to check on the 1st and 2nd of June 2021,” read part of the statement.
