The suspect was being sought in connection with a case of rape which occurred in Uladale Farm, Mazowe in February 2022.
Police are investigating a robbery case in which four complainants were robbed of US$ 250 cash, four cellphones and other valuables, all valued at US$1 210, after they boarded a blue Nissan Sylph which had two occupants, at Harare Show grounds on 13/03/22 at around 1545 hours.
The vehicle was destined for Gweru and along the way at the 36 km peg (Harare-Bulawayo Road), the driver diverted the route and turned left into a dust road where they threatened the complainants with an unidentified pistol and stole the valuables before they dumped the complainants and sped off towards Harare.
The ZRP is investigating a robbery case which occurred at Kasimure Village, Karoi on 13/03/22 at around 1600 hours, where two complainants who were riding on a motor cycle lost cash amounting to US$8 010 and an Itel cellphone to three unknown suspects.
The suspects, who were armed with knives and a machete emerged from a bush and pushed the moving motorcycle resulting in the rider losing control of the cycle and fell down. They then threatened the complainants with knives and stole the cash #notocrime.
On 11/03/22, a ZRP team operation ‘Chikorokoza Ngachipere/ Isitsheketsha Kasipele/ No to Machete Gangs’ at Jumbo Mine, Mazowe arrested a wanted person Thomas Chamunorwa (30).

The ZRP reports a shooting incident which occurred at Malilangwe Trust, Chiredzi involving game scouts and three poachers on 12/03/22. The trio was spotted in the Conservancy by game wardens before an exchange of fire ensued.
One of the suspects was fatally shot and died while two others escaped. Police recovered a CZ550 rifle fitted with a telescope and loaded with one round in the chamber, two spent cartridges, 7 spent cartridges of MK3 rifle, a bag satchel containing a small iron axe and a flick knife. Investigations are underway.
On 10/03/22, ZRP Mazowe arrested Prosper Hove (28) for possession of 23kgs of ZESA copper cables at a roadblock along Harare-Mukumbura Road. The suspect stashed the copper in a sack under his seat in a Dzimbabwe bus.
In another case, ZRP Bindura nabbed Peter Kazhanje for 19 counts of unlawful entry in Bindura and surrounding areas. Police recovered 4 TV sets, 3 laptops and 9 cellphones from the suspect.
ZRP urges all conveners of public gatherings and processions to comply with relevant provisions of the Maintenance of Peace and Order Act Chapter 11:23.
Meanwhile, the ZRP has taken note of the ruling by Honourable Justice Mugwira that CCC convener in Marondera must exhaust all legal domestic remedies in the MOPA in order to hold a rally.
