President Emerson Mnangagwa has given a nod to the return of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) which was cancelled last year as a result of Covid-19 regulations.
In a statement, Industry and Commerce secretary Dr M Sibanda said the business fair would be held in July.
“Please be advised that the President has approved the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair be held during the period 20th to 23rd of July 2021,” he said.
The annual trade exhibition, usually held in March or April, draws thousands of people every year.
ZITF is the biggest annual economic conference in the country where local, regional and international businesses showcase their products and.
The event attracts people from all walks of life to Bulawayo, bringing in wider business benefits mainly to the tourism sector and down the value chain.
Due to the cancellation of the event last year, the country lost approximately US$ 2 million.
