The national power utility, has apologised to the country, following intensified power outages in the past weeks.
In a statement, ZESA subsidiary, the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission Distribution Company (ZETDC), said residents of places that include Highfields, and Mbare should brace for more outages.
The statement read in part, “A faulty cable in Highfield will affect areas that include Old Highfield, Machipisa, Engineering, Gwanzura, Lusaka and surrounding areas.ā
“In Mbare, it is also cable fault and areas affected are Mbare National and the surrounding areas.ā
The electricity distribution company said it was working on the faults promising to restore service to normalcy.
“Our teams are working round the clock to ensure full restoration of services.ā
To fill the power deficit, Zimbabwe imports itās electricity from Mozambique and South Africa.
