Two Damfalls Thieves Arrested

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) arrested two thieves whose pictures went viral on social media after being captured on CCTV in Damfalls.

The two appeared in court over the weekend charged with unlawful entry.

Tongai Brighton Tsuro and Carrington Kashesha were not asked to plead when they appeared before Harare Magistrate Dennis Mangosi.

Allegations are that on April 6, the two and their alleged accomplices Nazarius Gumini, Kapondera and Sydney Chemhere, still at large, broke into the complainant’s house and stole a 55-inch plasma TV worth $32 400.

They were captured on CCTV as they were entering and leaving the house.

In the second count, the State alleges that the two and their accomplices broke into the second complainant’s residence and stole a 42-inch TV set and a hybrid amplifier all valued at $62 250.

They also reportedly stole another TV set, a 32-inch set worth $8 300 and nothing was recovered.

Meanwhile police in Mbare, recovered a stolen blue Mercedes Benz ADL 4916 which was stolen by means of robbery along Amalinda Road on the 8th April at about 2230 hrs.

The complainant was blocked by a Toyota Vits vehicle near Churu Farm, before two unknown suspects wielding a knife and stones disembarked and smashed the passenger window.

The victim was robbed of two cell-phones, ZW$110, US$900 and the car.

In Gwanda the ZRP reiterates that members of the public should resolve their differences amicably.
On 5th of April at about 0000 hrs, a Gwanda couple had a misunderstanding over an undisclosed issue in their bedroom.

At about 0900 hours, the husband fatally assaulted the wife with a machete before hanging himself on a tree.
Investigations are underway.
