The #4th woman I am celebrating as we count down to #IWD2021 is Asante Lucy Mtenje.
Although she was on my list, I had no intention of talking about her today until I heard THE fantastic news!
I met Asante for the first time when we enrolled for our PhD studies at Stellenbosch university.
We went on to share a flat for part of our study journey.
This is when I managed to observe her work ethic and her drive to be successful.
Due to her hard work, she was among the first PhDs to graduate in our group.
She is academically gifted, an excellent and fast writer.
Today is particularly important because she becomes an Associate Professor.
She is also a businesswoman and owns Sasha Interior Designs.
She is only 35 years!! Please help me celebrate this Malawian sister of mine Associate Professor Asante Lucy Mtenje.
It’s not easy for one to wake up as a professor.
Congrats dearest.
