The #3rd woman I am celebrating as we count down to #IWD2021 is
Chinga Mzingwane

This woman is very passionate about fighting sexual and gender based violence (SGBV) as well as protecting the rights of children.
She was once a Public Prosecutor, Magistrate, and a legal aid officer.
Most of you don’t realise what goes on in the background regarding issues of abuse.
When we forward those videos of abuse, there are some people who take those cases up to make sure the relevant authorities do their job to make sure perpetrators are punished.
The court cases, emotional and material support to survivors of SGBV, you name it- This woman has been playing a background but critical role to coordinate efforts towards this.
Most importantly is that she volunteers to do this for free. Some women and children are alive and in safer spaces today because of efforts by women like Chinga.
She is one of my heroines who keep their ears on the ground.
She is a woman of action and will not watch when cases of SGBV comes her way.
For this I celebrate you Chinga for all the great work you do in the background which should, but may never be publicly recognised.
