Norton legislator Themba Mliswa’s former lover Susan Mutami has said she will stand and defend Zimmorning Post in court as she has evidence to prove allegations contained in the article in question.
This follows the arrest of Zimmorning Post staff members, Elias Mambo and Farayi Machamira on criminal insult charges in an article concerning the enstranged lovers Mliswa and Mutami, pressed by Mliswa.
Mutami who gave the journalists information used in the story said she was certain of every word she told them and had evidence of the details in the article.
Posting on her Twitter account Mutami said,
“Dear Zimbabweans, I am prepared to testify in court that whatever Zim Morning Post wrote in it’s article was 100% authentic as it came from me during an interview.”
“I have got proof of all my claims, some of which CIO and CID are in possession of.
“Therefore the charges pressed by baba Owen MUDHA, Mliswa/MATWINS against the journalists are baseless and possibly based on desperation to extort money from Zimmorning Post.”
On February 1, Zim Morning Post published an article titled ‘Three months relationship made in hell: Philanthropist in messy break up with Temba Mliswa’ which frustrated Mliswa.
Mliswa claimed he was not given an opportunity to defend himself as issues raised in the article were harmful to his character and career.
Mutami made several allegations about Mliswa in the article as she said he admitted to being bisexual, homosexual, a spirit medium and that he was preparing for his way up the ladder to the Presidential seat through clearing one political hurdle who happened to be July Moyo.
