The Gutu Rural District Council has warned people against illegal developments currently taking place in Ward 4 without the approval from the local authority.
In a statement provided by the Gutu Rural District Council Chief executive officer Dawi said people should not engage in any illegal developments like road maintenance without the full concern of the local authority and should seek approval first.
“Although we are not against development within …… ………requirement that you should seek approval from the local authorities,” he said.
Dawi warned people in Ward 4 that no one is allowed to do any development in an area without a working permit.
“Please be reminded that Regional, Town and country planning Act section 2, clearly stipulated that you should get a development permits before any developments commence.
He also urged the public to make sure they visit the authorities for approval.
“Therefore, we are instructing you to stop any developments and approach our offices for approval,” he said.
He pleaded with the people to take the warning seriously and pursue to the local authorities and have the permit before facing embarrassments from the authorities.
“May you please take note of the above instructions to avoid embarrassment and loss of resources,” he said.ted.
