Following the operationalisation of the African Continental Free Trade Area that is expected to improve intra-continental trade and investment, Zimbabwe and Rwanda are not wasting time as the two countries are intensifying bilateral trade and investment through signing of numerous business memoranda and agreements.
As part of efforts to increase business dealings between the two countries, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda Dr Vincent Birut is visiting Zimbabwe until the 31st of July 2020.
During his visit, the minister is expected to discuss with his Zimbabwean counterpart Fredrick Shava, strategic bilateral issues centered on promotion of trade and deepening the alredy existing ties.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, meetings between the two ministers are expected to culminate into signing of numerous memoranda that speaks to strengthened business ties.
Dr Vincent is also expected to officiate at a ceremony to inaugurate the Embassy of Rwanda in Harare
