La Liga outfit Real Betis which officially set up an academy in the country’s capital city Harare last year, have swiftly ventured into signing foreign players.
This comes after the Spanish top flight side Tuesday announced through their social media platforms the signing of two youthful foreign players.
“Welcome to Zimbabwe,” posted the Academy.
“A Passion Called Betis. “We are pleased to welcome into our Program Brazilian midfielder (18) Bernardo Ribeiro and Ghanaian wing back Patrick Oshiah (18).
“We wish you a warm stay in Zimbabwe #MuchoBetis.”
Both Ribeiro and Oshiah are open to sign for any domestic league club given that they perform impressively to attract any of the registered 18 PSL teams.
Prior the arrival of the foreign duo, Betis also struck a partnership deal with local league reigning champions FC Platinum in August 2021.
The partnership deal resulted in the parties agreeing on a number of things including youth team’s management.
“Real Betis Balompié have signed a collaboration agreement with FC Platinum, the main football team in Zimbabwe.
“This partnership will be aimed to common growth by sharing information and methodology.
“The African club will increase their expertise in fields such as fan engagement; the use of big data; monetisation in social media; youth teams management, digital transformation; or new ways of revenue applied to professional football,” Betis announced through their website.
