Zimbabwe international striker, Prince Dube (24) has signed a new contract for the Tanzanian giants Azam FC, the club confirmed on their Facebook page.
Dube’s contract with Azam upon his arrival from his former paymasters, Highlanders FC was set to expire in 2022.
However, the 24-year-old versatile forward has decided to extended his stay with the Wana Ramba Ramba (Azam) till 2024.
“Azam FC are very excited to enter a new two year contract with the Zimbabwe international striker Prince Dube.
“The contract will enable Dube to continue play inside the Azam complex until 2024,” reads the statement.
Mgadafi as he is popularly known in Zimbabwe’s domestic football is currently the leading top goal scorer in the Vodacom Premier League Tanzania (VPL) netting 14 goals from 30 games.
Despite putting pen to paper for Azam, the former Supersport United forward has also been under the radar of Simba SC and Yanga who were reportedly desperate to earn his signature.
Moreover, due to his impressive debutant league the Warriors forward caught the eye of Simba who wanted to boost their attacking in the CAF Champions League.
