The late Anne Nhira will receive a state assisted funeral.

The former Studio263 actress died last Tuesday from injuries sustained in Johannesburg’s Bedford View suburb.

In a letter, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Misheck Sibanda said President Emmerson Mnangagwa had authorised a state assisted funeral for the late actress.

“Please be advised that His Excellency, the President has approved State assisted funeral to the late Anne ‘Vimbai’ Nhira.

“You may proceed with the necessary arrangements”

Meanwhile, former Studio 263 actress’s autopsy results are to be revealed today.

The autopsy results were delayed because it was a weekend and there were some investigations being done.

“I have not been told anything yet of what really happened and I am anxiously waiting for that news, my boys in South Africa know much on what to do and that is what I am waiting for,” Anne’s father, Charles Nhira said.

“We do not have the date yet of when she can be buried as you know she is far away and it needs planning.”

Mourners were gathered at his house in Manyame Park.
