The Warriors have had a poor run in their campaigns over the past months as evidenced by the heightened spirit of giving as they have been awarding other teams with points in their international campaigns.

With only two more games to play in the World Cup qualifiers, fans anxiously wait to see if the Warriors will continue giving away points or take some for the country’s pride.

Zimbabwe’s national soccer team has not won a match since their 1-0 victory over Malawi in an international friendly in October 2020.

During former coach Logarusic’s the team lost10 games and drew only five.
The Warriors have been losing points unnecessarily since the appointment of Logarusic last year.

Fans wait to see if now Norman Mapeza led side will step up its game.

Having played 16 games, the Warriors have picked up only eight points from a possible 48, giving away 40.

The Warriors await two matches, one against South Africa at the FNB stadium and the other against Ethiopia, with the hope of recording their first win in the World Cup qualifiers as they currently anchor the bottom of the log with only one point.

While fans look forward to the end of the giving season, the not-so new coach Mapeza looks at the remaining matches as preparatory games for AFCON 2022.

Warriors have back-to-back World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Ethiopia next week.
