The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) urges members of the public to cherish the sanctity of human life.
This follows a case of murder at Musvasva Village, Bikita on 23/02/21, where a suspect (26) fatally struck his uncle (70) once on the lower limp with a machete after raising allegations of witchcraft.
The victim bled profusely and died at a local clinic. Meanwhile Police have nabbed the suspect and recovered the weapon used in the commission of the crime.
Police in Bindura have arrested four men for poaching a Zebra on 24/02/21 at Tsatse Game Park and recovered 3 rifles.
The suspects proceeded to the game-park in the night and slaughtered a zebra before loading the carcass in an Isuzu KB pick up.
Alert villagers at Wiseacre Farm, Bindura noticed a carcass in their vehicle after it got stuck in mud and they effected citizen arrest on the suspects. Investigations are in progress.
A Banket man (29) was nabbed by Police on 23/02/21 for fraud.
The suspect allegedly forged fake goods dispatch vouchers under the Command Agriculture and fraudulently obtained 150 x 50 kg bags of Urea top dressing fertilizer from Banket GMB Depot on 20/02/21.
The suspect returned to the Depot on 23/02/21 with the same modus operandi but was detected leading to his arrest and discovery of the previous offence.
The ZRP is warning members of the public against breaching the current COVID-19 regulations.
On 23/02/21, 3 504 people were arrested for breaching COVID-19 regulations, of those 2 284 were for unnecessary movements and 815 were for failing to wear masks.
Since the onset of COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020, the cumulative total arrest is now at 458 251.

The ZRP is concerned with the increase in robbery cases involving travellers or people boarding private vehicles and kombis.
On 23/02/21 at about 1430 hrs, a woman (31) was robbed along Harare-Bulawayo Roadd, Harare after boarding a black Honda Fit vehicle.
On 23/02/21 at about 1100 hrs, a woman (40) was robbed along Lomagundi Rd, Harare after boarding a blue Honda Fit vehicle. On 23/02/21 at about 1300 hrs, a woman was robbed along B/dale Rd, Harare after boarding a blue Honda Fit vehicle.
On 23/02/21 at about 1400hrs, a woman (21) was robbed along Harare-Mutare Road, Harare after boarding a black Honda Fit vehicle.
