Police in Bulawayo arrested a male suspect (22) and his female accomplice (29) who had also wreaked havoc committing a spate of robbery cases in and around Bulawayo using a Honda Fit motor vehicle.
The suspects sprayed their victims with an unknown itchy substance on the eyes making them unable to see and in the process stole their property.
They could also target unsuspecting cell phone operators, snatch their cell phones and flee in the gate away motor vehicle
Investigations are still in progress.
The ZRP detectives arrested 2 suspects on 26/02/21 and are on a manhunt for two other suspects, one only known as Jealous (Jedza) of Unit M, Seke, Chitungwiza and Courage (Tocky) of Dzivarasekwa Extension, Harare
The suspects are part of a gang which had wreaked havoc committing a series of robbery cases in and around Harare.
Several properties have so far been recovered and the arrested suspects are assisting the police with
investigations.

The ZRP confirms that on 25/02/21, 30 suspects were arrested under the operation, No to cross border crimes/ fhasinga milandu yamukanoni yamashango/ mhosva pamiganhu ngadzipere/ amacala kawaphele emingceleni yelizwe.
This brings the cumulative number of arrests to 5 111.
A total of 26 suspects were arrested for unnecessary movement during National Lockdown while 4 were arrested for criminal abuse of office

Police in Harare are investigating circumstances surrounding a hit and run Road Traffic Accident which occurred on 28/02/21 along Delport Roadd near Murambidzi Bar, Epworth.
An unknown motorist who was driving due north along Delport Rd hit the victim (21) who was crossing the Road.
The victim sustained head injuries & died on the spot, the suspect did not stop after the accident.
In a related case, police in Harare are investigating a hit & run Road Traffic Accident in which the victim (30) who was crossing the Rd was hit by an unknown suspect.
Police in Bulawayo are investigating a case of fraud which occurred sometime in January 2021 in Bulawayo in which the victim (68) wanted to buy some medical equipment from a China based company and sent some money amounting to US$18 300-00 to the suspect.
The suspect misrepresented as an employee of the company through the use of an email address.
Investigations are underway.
Police in Chitungwiza arrested 23 suspects for public violence which occurred in Zengeza, Chitungwiza in which a mob attacked the police team which was on duty enforcing National Lockdown regulation.
The police team arrested a suspect who was operating a bar and suddenly, the mob began to throw stones and insulting the law officers for arresting the bar attendant.
In a related case, on 28/02/21 police in Chitungwiza also arrested a suspect (36) for operating a liquor outlet during National Lockdown at Unit D shopping centre, Chitungwiza and recovered some beers.
9 patrons who were at the outlet were also picked
Police in Masvingo arrested 2 suspects for murder which occurred on 25/02/21 at Chikwadze Village, Chief Nyajena, Masvingo.
The 2 suspects approached the victim (41) who was herding cattle and accused him of neglecting his cattle which strayed in the suspects’ field.
The first suspect (24) hit the victim thrice with a stone on the head.
The second suspect (18) joined in and both assaulted the victim several times with sticks all over the body.
Investigations are in progress.
