Tangai Tandi a father to the late teenager girl Joy Tandi (17) who was run over by car along Seke Road recently was not pregnant
Joy died on the spot, on the 5th of July near Caledon Shop around midday.
Information available said the late was hit by a speeding car being driven by Courage and the car belongs to one of the self-styled prophet Panganai ‘Passion’ Java’s.
It has now been cleared by her father and also results of the post-mortem that the late girl was not pregnant
In an interview with Sly Media, Tangai Tandi said that his child completed her Ordinary Level last year and was about to supplement her subjects.
“My daughter was 17 years and the rumour that she was pregnant is false because she was not pregnant even the post-mortem shows the same that she was not pregnant.
“I think what happened was that people took the wrong information because that same day there was a woman who was also hit by a car at St Patricks where she was going for maternity, so these two died the same day”, he said.
He added that the most painful thing about this whole issue was that they used their own money to finance the funeral and other things yet Java did not nor his driver assisted in any way.
“We used our own money, Java and his driver did not contributed any cent during the course of the funeral, there were not there until we buried her.
“The next morning that is when we met at Hatfied Police Station with this driver Courage Gwashira and he explained what happened, that was that.”
“Ever since we buried my daughter these people did not even pass condolence messages even Java the owner of the car did not said anything, they are acting like they hit an animal.” said Tandi.
He also dismissed information circulating on social media that the family of the deceased said that they did not want to see Java and his team at the funeral.
“As the father of the child I was not even around by that time I was still outside the country when all these fake claims were made, even though now they know that I am in the country why are they not coming even to console my family about the passing on of my daughter.” he said.
He encouraged Passion Java’s driver to look deeper into this issue because he hit someone’s daughter and he declared that his daughter cannot just die like an animal he will rest when he gets justice.
