Munyaradzi Diya Resurfaces At Golden Eagles

Former Dynamos, Howmine and Highlanders FC shot stopper Munyaradzi Diya has resurfaced at division one side Golden Eagles, the club has confirmed.


Diya was among five of the Eagles new signings unveiled by the club on twitter Thursday afternoon.


The seasoned goalie last played for the Harare giants, Dembare before reports indicated that he was offloaded by the club executive after a misunderstanding.


Apart from Diya, Eagles whose owners are Barry Manandi and Mike Madoda and coach Joel Luphahla also signed Chris ‘Maskiri’ Semakwere and Dominc Mukandi who both once played for Caps United.


The duo of Lloyd Majarira and Raymond Uchena were also among the club’s new signings.

“We’ve bolstered our squad for our maiden dance in Division 1, adding both steel and skill and plenty of leadership.

Eagles play their opening league match aganist Simba Bhora on Saturday at Wadzanai Stadium in Shamva.


The games will see a return of division one football for the first time in two years after all lower league football was put on halt due to Covid-19 protocols.
