A gospel music artist, Micheal Mahendere affectionately known as “Minister” by his legions of fans has promised ‘fire for fire’ this year with live show performances, collaborations and albums.
In an interview with Sly Media, Minister Mahendere said that as long as he had the chance to perform, nothing will stop him from hosting as many shows as he wants.
“We are looking forward to have a day event as long as they is still that chance and our next bus stop is Gweru on the 2nd of April next month at Gweru Sports Club,” he said.
“We are looking forward again to have a live recording of getting personal with God which is our latest offering on the 1st week of May this year in Harare,”
He promised that some collaborations are underway with different artists from within and outside the country.
“We have lined collaborations in Zimbabwe and outside the country like in Malawi I am going to do a collaboration with Wendy Harawa.
” Another collaboration I will be doing it with Levixone from Uganda and the video will be out.
“Some collaborations are from South Africa,Tanzania, Nigeria as well as Ghana these are collaborations we are looking forward to do this 2022,”hinted Mahendere.
He added that gospel music is the best genre that is growing in Zimbabwe in terms of its following base.
“Gospel music is growing in Zimbabwe so much we can see by the numbers that are following us subscribers we have on YouTube which is 250k followers and 221 on Instagram we have received an award,” Minister Mahendere said.
“People are following what they like because when singing gospel music, one has to be his or herself just being yourself.
” Be yourself determine who will follow you who will be impacted by what you are doing,”
He believed that for one to be successful in the industry, you have to follow your calling as well as the instructions given by God to that person.
“I think staying in your lane following your purpose and the instructions that you have is what is important than anything else,” he said
