Former Warriors Captain and Coach Misheck ‘Scania’ Chidzambwa has died.

Chidzambwa has not been feeling well since the beginning of the lockdown in March 2020.

Misheck Chidzambwa was the first Warriors captain to win silverware when Zimbabwe won the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup at Rufaro in 1985.

He was the former coach of the Warriors team that won the Cosafa Cup in 2000 when the team thrashed Lesotho 6-0 on aggregate in a final that featured two legs.

The death of Chidzambwa was confirmed by veteran sports journalist Robson Sharuko writing on his microblogging site Twitter timeline and a relative of the late football icon.

The passing on of Chidzambwa comes at the back of the passing on of another football great David Mandigora.
