Football is finally back in Zimbabwe: as the Chibuku Super Cup competition got the ball rolling in the domestic football, the tournament enters into Week 2, remember to catch up and follow all action this weekend.
There are some quite interesting games lined up for you on both Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, Group 1 will see Dynamos FC who displayed a dismal and poor perfomance against Herentals last Sunday, hoping to find their foot back.
A victory against a bogey Yadah which almost snatched 3 points over Caps United in the Group’s opening fixture, will ease pressure on Dembare coach Tonderai Ndiraya.
It is a must win for the Glamour Boys.
Heading to Bulawayo, Group 2 losers Bulawayo Chiefs and Bulawayo City are set to lock horns in the mid morning, time 11am at BF.
Both teams are placed third and fourth in the group with the latter anchoring the Group 2 table after last week’s 2-0 defeat to Chicken Inn, whilst Chiefs lost 1-0 to Highlanders.
In Group 3, newly promoted Cranborne Bullets who defied all odds to become the only PSL new comers to earn themselves maximum points in the opening games, after a narrow 1 nil victory over Manica Diamonds face Black Rhinos.
This is a tricky encounter for Bullets since the Army Side became the second team to welcome the resumption of football with more than three goals after FC Platinum, thrashing Tenax 4-1.
Platinum are leading the pack in Group 4, after humiliating newly promoted Hwahwa FC, baptising them with half a dozen (six) goals without conceding.
The reigning Champions are set to be tested in their next game against a better side than Hwahwa, the Sugar Sugar Boys (Triangle FC) despite falling to a 3-1 defeat to another Platinum side, Ngezi FC.
