Movie fanatics are in for a treat this May as a movie based on the life of popular comedienne Tarisai Chikocho popularly known as Madam Boss is set to hit the big screen.
The award winning sociaite posted the development on her Facebook page.
She wrote, “I am excited about this next step in my career.”
“Can’t wait for you guys to watch this movie in cinemas this May.”
The news was welcomed by her fans who wished her well.
Vimbiso Maponga posted, “Thats awesome Congratulations Madam Boss.”
Elizabeth Puwai wrote, “Can’t wait either so proud of you, Congratulations.”
Joyce Changamire posted, “Congratulations Forward ever, Backwards never.”
Madam Boss started her career as a gospel music artist when she released her debut album titled Sunungura.
She became prominent as a comedianne when she started doing comedy skits as a maid named Dudzai which circulated on social media.
She became the first Zimbabwean comedianne to reach one million followers on Facebook.
In 2021, she began an acting career when she was cast in a Nollywood series titled The Offspring which was followed by a casting for a role in South Africa’s SABC 1 drama series Ubettina Wethu.
Over the years, she has bagged awards including thd Social Media Brand of the year – Zimbabwe Business Awards 2017 and Socialite of the year – Zimbabwe Social Media Awards 2018.
In 2018, she was the People’s Choice – Zimbabwe International Women Awards 2018 and Women Of The Year Award In Digital And Social Media – Zimbabwe National Women’s Awards.
Madam Boss in 2021 was nominated Influencer of the Year – Zimbabwe Achievers Awards 2021 and was the E! Entertainment People’s Choice Awards – African Social Star winner.
