South African National Parks (SANParks) confirms that a private light aircraft crash occurred along Link road in the Cape of Good Hope section of Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) at approximately 13:40pm today, 10 February 2022.
All emergency personnel were immediately informed and responded timeously. The light aircraft had two occupants who suffered minor injuries, and have thus been transported to hospital for further examination.
We’d like to wish the occupants a speedy recovery during this time.
The details surrounding the cause of the crash are unknown at this stage. Please note that Link and Olifantsbos road within Cape Point will be closed until further notice.
