Former Warriors and Kaizer Chiefs defensive midfielder, Willard Katsande (35) is reportedly close to completing his move to DSTV premiership debutants Sekhukhune United.

Katsande parted ways with Chiefs last week after spending 10 years with the Soweto giants.

He remains a free agent till Sekhukhune officially confirms his move.

Apart from Sekhukhune’s move, Katsande was rumored to be linked with a move to
Benni McCarthy’s coached side Amazulu FC.

According to KickOff magazine, the 35-year-old Soweto giants veteran midfielder was still negotiating with the PSL newcomers and has been offered a two-year deal.

“Katsande is currently engaged in negotiations with Sekhukhune United.
“The negotiations are now at an advanced stage.
“The club is expected to unveil him very soon,” KickOff revealed.

If the former Warriors skipper completes the deal, he will play alongside his fellow countrymen including Tapuwa Kapini McClive Phiri together with newly signed Talent Chawapiwa and Charlton Mashumba who are already at the club.

Meanwhile, the club is said to be assessing former Black Leopards attacking midfielder Ovidy Karuru, Dynamos FC’s winger King Nadolo and Caps United’s holding midfielder Blessing Sarupinda.
