SOUTH African actress and celebrity, Zinhle Mabena who was arrested for allegedly plotting to kill her husband Robert Ngwenya has been granted bail.
Isibaya actress Zinhle Mabena is a free woman after spending a night behind bars for alleged conspiracy to murder her estranged husband.
The arrest comes after a shooting incident that happened on January 28 which saw one of Ngwenya’s bodyguard losing his life.
Reports by South Africa’s local news, Sunday World, said assailants used AK47sto shoot at Ngwenya and his bodyguards at a Centurion petrol station, fortunately Ngwenya was left unharmed.
Police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele confirmed the arrest of a 29-year-old Isibaya actress.
“A 29-year-old female suspect is set to make a first appearance in the Pretoria magistrate’s court on Wednesday following her arrest on Tuesday, on suspicion of being involved in the attempted murder of her husband and the murder of her husband’s bodyguard,” Makhubele said.
“Following an intensive investigation into the shooting incident that happened on 28 January 2021, police found evidence that linked the woman to the attempted murder and murder.”
