In 2010, a Kenyan elite runner, Jacqueline Nyetipei Kiplimo, passed water to a dehydrated disabled Chinese runner at the Zheng-Kai marathon.
This slowed her time and she came in 2nd in the race, not only costing her the win but also the $10,000 cash prize.
She run with him from 10km to 38km while helping him drink water through all the water stations which slowed her down.
What a gesture!
