Hwende Cedes His Sitting Allowances To The Poor

Chiredzi Town Council, Cllr Gibson Hwende, has ceded his sitting allowances salary so that it take care of vulnerable people in the lowveld town.

 

 

Hwende is also the town’s chairperson wants the money to be given to three blind who are looking after their families.

 

 

The three are Gibert Madzivire(49),Vengani Framingo (55) and Peter Hungwe.

 

The families are based at N&B properties opposite N Richards wholesale, with Framingo having been staying there for 34 years, Madzivire 14 years and Hungwe, 16 years.

 

Recently Hwende donated blankets and food to the families.

 

“So far I have managed to mobilise 20 bags of cement towards that house. I am going to knock at every door, the diaspora included, asking for donations in cash or kind to make sure that these 5 roomed houses is complete by August this year”, Hwende said.

 

 

“I am going to give you exemption letters that will allow you to do your business without any hustle or harassment from police or council security.”
