The City Council is suppose to pay USD$22000 per day close to USD$ 700000 per month to Geogenix B.V to a Netherlands company even without dumping waste. The central government through the Cabinet approved the Pomona Waste to Energy Project under the direction of the Minister of Local Government July Moyo.
The Local Government Minister had strategically suspended substantive Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume in order to fast-track the corrupt deal.
