Twimbos are exchanging verbal blows on twitter following Prince Harry and Meghan’s racism claims against the British Monarch.

During recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, the couple disclosed that Meghan’s life in the Palace was hectic as she suffered from racism, isolation leaving her in depression, while being blocked from accessing help.
.

Meghan revealed  that during her pregnancy there were some racial comments passed on to the unborn baby.

”In those months when I was pregnant there were concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he was born. When I joined that family that was the last time until we came here that I saw my passport, my drivers’ license, keys,” said  Meghan.

”I went to the institution and I said ” I needed to go somewhere to get help….I was told that I couldn’t and
it wouldn’t be good for the institution”  added Meghan.

This interview has provoked a lot of blacks in Britain and some got emotional as they claim that they
relate well to the issues which Meghan raised in her interview and they are uniting hands against structural racism.

Below are some of the comments on Twitter:

Josh: “It is the oldest lesson in the book, lighter skinned slaves were allowed in the house and darker
skinned were kept in the fields but at the end of the day, light or dark you are still a slave.”

Ken Olin: It’s about race, what Harry and Meghan took on last night was huge, takes tremendous courage
to shine in the darkest corners of institutionalized racism”

Chichi: ‘‘I  doubt, my own ignorant white relatives use the N word in front of me”

BLAsian: ..”The in-laws thought this was a phase or they would be driven apart before they had
babies, but upon the appearance progeny everybody started being really real we are always considered
acceptable, exotic sex objects”.

Lux: ”The height of racism in Britain is out of this world! I mean, how can Prince Harry’s family even think
or feel that , the colour of their expected grand baby to be too dark and that it will be an embarrassment
to the royal family? Is Meghan not fair enough? Must she be white?? Come on”

However another group including Meghan’s father do not buy Meghan’s story. Her own father believe
she is exaggerating yet others are of the view that she is using her acting prowess to pull a publicity
stunt.

Here are some of the comments on twitter:

Lee: ”I am sick and tired of people using color as an excuse for issues which have nothing to do with it.

Jonathan: ‘‘what about the colour of their hair, eyes, shape of their nose, all regular and normal
conversations”.

Andy Trying: ”Why is everyone taking this failed actress and her puppet’s word on this?. Do we know if it’s
true?  They talk of racist remarks but won’t disclose who said it. its just a publicity.

Buckingham Palace has released a statement on behalf of the Royal Family in response to the Harry and Meghan’s  interview with Oprah Winfrey interview.

It said: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years  have been for Harry and Meghan.

“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.  Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
