2 Samuel 12: 19-20 denotes the following:
“When David saw his servants whispering, he knew that the baby was dead. So he asked them, “Is the baby dead?” They answered, “Yes, he is dead.” Then David got up from the floor, washed himself, put lotions on, and changed his clothes.
Then he went into the Lord’s house to worship. After that, he went home and asked for something to eat. His servants gave him some food, and he ate.”
The Bible tells us about a time when David lost his son. However, when he received news that his child was no more he took a bath, put on new clothes and went to the temple to worship.
Grief and pain are not a sign of lack of faith or weakness, they are the price and the consequence of true love. Never a reason to depart or separate yourself from God but a reason to draw closer to Him. Nothing will stop me from worshipping God.
