The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has increased fuel prices with immediate effect.
In a statement,the energy regulator annkunced that Diesel will now be USD$1,88 up from US$1,76 while the price of Petro (Blend -E15) has increased to USD$1,77 from USD$1,73 per litre.
Prices in Zimbabwe dollars rated are ZWL$661,73 from ZWL$550,59 per litre for Diesel while Petrol now costs ZWL$623 from ZWL$539,56 per litre.
“The above prices would have been at Diesel USD$2,01and Blend USD$1,84 without Government interventions,” read the statement in part.
“The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio remains at E15. Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations,” said the regulator.
“Stakeholders are advised that the petroleum prices released by ZERA can be verified on the official ZERA website, Facebook or Twitter handle,” the statement read.
