President Emmerson Mnangagwa Wednesday said he was shocked to receive a letter resignation from his former vice president Kembo Mohadi.
The President told Zanu PF delegates attending the party’s 349th ordinary session of the Politburo that he was not expecting it.
”Following the resignation of Cde Mohadi from the post of vice president of the Republic of Zimbabwe,” he said.
“His resignation from the government architecture of the 2nd republic was unexpected but accepted.”
“l commend His role he played under the Second Republic in advancing our government’s national development agenda as enunciated in vision 2030 strategy”.
“On behalf of Government, the Party Zanu PF and indeed my own behalf, I would like to thank the former Vice President for his service to our country,” he said.
The former vice president resigned Monday after leaked tapped audios of phone conversations with married sex mates spilled onto social media.
