The Chisikana Changu Zimbabwe hit maker Dereck Mpofu today released a new video to his single titled Ko Isu featuring Felistars Mai Titi Murata’s daughter Titi.
The song which highlights challenges people face on the road to success was released this morning.
Posting on her Facebook page Mai Titi said Mpofu had worked with Titi on the song over the last couple of months.
“According to Dereck Mpofu he says working with Titi was like working with someone who had been in the industry for years,” said Mai Titi.
Titi is following in her mother and sister’s footsteps in the music industry.
Mai Titi has an album titled Rise to her name and has done collaborations with various artists including Baba Harare while her eldest daughter Felisha Fifi Murata did a collaboration with the Zvandofarira hit maker Herman.
As for Mpofu, the collaboration with Titi is not his first with socialites cum musicians as he has also worked with Mai Titi on the song Ngithande.
Mpofu worked with Madam Boss and Comic Pastor on the song Ndinokakama and with Lorraine Guyo on the song Ancestors.
In his music journey, Mpofu has also worked with Nigerian artist Kunle Ayo, South African superstars Winnie Khumalo and Teddy Bears, Botswana’s Amantle, Spiza and Bouncy, Norry Malonga from the Democratic Republic of Congo together with local artists Alexio Kawara, Esther Mukazika, Ras Caleb and Willis Wataffion the song against xenophobia, We are African — No to Xenophobia.
Mpofu’s albums include Handizirini (2010) Dr Philosophy (2013) Diplomatic Alliances (2015) and Godobori (Expert) (2017).
