Cavani extends his stay at United

Uruguayan stirker Edison Cavani has reportedly extended his stay at Old Trafford until the summer of 2022, the club has officially confirmed.
The 34-year-old joined United last year and his contract with the Reds was set to end in June, though the club had the option to extend it by an additional one year.
Speaking to the media, Cavani said, “I have developed a great affection for the club. I feel a deep bond with my teammates they give me motivation everyday and I know together we can achieve special things.”
The forward is currently on top of his form at United having scored a total of 15 goals this season in 35 games, netting seven in his last six games.
El Matador as he is affectionally known, has scored five goals off the bench in the Premier League, equalling a club record set by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Javier Hernandez.
According to NBC Sport, South American club Boca Juniors were reportedly after the former Napoli and Paris St Germain striker’s signature.
