Teachers representative, Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe, (ARTUZ) has called on Government to capacitate teachers to ensure they deliver their duties fully.
The organization, is lobbying Government to revert back to the October 2018 salary which was pegged at US$520.
In a petition ARTUZ said, “We note that the attitude of your office is to ignore our noble petitions.”
“We have resolved to escalate multiple forms of protests in a bid to push you to attend to your constitutional mandate of providing basic education.
” In addition, capacitate our schools to enable them to adhere to the June 2020 government produced Standard Operating Procedures in the face of COVID19 and support all vulnerable learners with paying school fees and acquiring learning materials in pursuit of Sustainable Development Goal number 4 on inclusive access to education.”
