Cameroonian Soccer Legend Roger Miller Congratulate Eto’o

African football legend Roger Milla (69) has congratulated his compatriot and ex-Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o (40) who was voted as the new president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) Saturday.

 

 

The former FC Barcelona and Inter Milan forward ermeged to be the Cameroonian football fraternity’s choice after receiving 43 votes while his rival Seidou Mbombo Njoya’s only managed 31 votes.

 

 

“Congratulations Samuel Eto’o,” read the 69-year-old Cameroonian legend’s tweet.
Eto’o was officially announced as the new Fecafoot president on Friday evening.

 

 

He will constitutionally run the office for four years, before another presidential election takes place.

 

 

 

The 40-year-old is set to lead in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) offical opening ceremony on the 9th of January next year.

 

 

Cameroon are the hosts of the 33rd edition of the AFCON competition which will feature 24 teams and runs from January 9 to February 6.
Zimbabwe are in Group B with Senegal, Malawi and Guinea.
