MDC Zimbabwe has notified the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) that it will participate in the forthcoming general elections.
The by-elections will be held on the 26 of March to replace recalled Members of Parliament and Councillors by MDCT leader Douglas Mwonzora and those who passed on.
“This serves to notify your office that MDC Zimbabwe, will be participating in the forthcoming by elections proclaimed for the 26 march 2022, by H.E President ED Mnangagwa,” reads the letter to ZEC signed by party president Thulani Gula Ndebele.
“The following officers are the only authorized person to sign for our candidates.”

Nobuhle Mhodie (Chairperson)
Yasini Chiwisa (Treasure General)
“Kindly note that we are not a “derivate” of any political Party or grouping. We have been subject to any
“Alliance Agreement” not Court Challenges or Judgements.
“Therefore MDC Zimbabwe, must not be conflated with those who seek to limit political participation only to those who agree with them via a supermarket of names and identities.”
