Bishop Maponga Loses R5 Million Court Case Against Ashoms

Renowned Zimbabwean born, motivational speaker cum Preacher, who is based in South Africa, Bishop Joshua Maponga has lost his five million Rand defamation case against Solomon Izang Ashoms.

Bishop Maponga had taken Ashoms to court for defamation after Ashoms accused Bishop Maponga for having an extra marital affair.

Bishop Maponga’s lawyers initially had advised Ashoms to retract his statements to no avail.

Bishop Maponga then went on to file an urgent application to stop Ashom from tarnishing his image and as compensation he demanded five million Rand.

Ashoms posted a court order which stated that the application was struck off from the roll.

“In the matter between Joshua Maponga applicant and Solomon Izang Ashoms respondent, having read the documents filed of record and having considered that matter, it is ordered that the application is struck off from the roll,”read the court order.

Ashoms also wrote on his Facebook page and asked people to join him in seeking an answer from Maponga regarding to what made his application to be struck off.

“Please help me ask Maponga why his R5m defamation of character court case against me was struck off the roll at high court in Johannesburg.we need him to explain why,” wrote Ashoms.

“He claimed I accused him wrongly when I insisted he had a girlfriend, now the girl friend has come out to even reveal that Maponga got her pregnant.”

Reports indicate a certain unnamed young lady from Newcastle recently claimed to have been involved with Maponga.

The woman claimed she called Bishop Maponga for advise and in turn Bishop Maponga linked her with one traditional doctor.

The woman claimed that marked the beginning of their affair and secret meetings at hotels until she fell pregnant and had a miscarriage
