A legendary gospel musician Baba Mechanic Manyeruke has advised youths to be patient in life since all good things take time to come rather than rushing things for no reason.
Speaking during an interview with Sly Media at his house in Chitungwiza, Manyeruke said that youths of today should be very patient with everything they set their minds upon and give themselves time to perfect their artistry because patience is the only recipe for success.
“Youngsters should be patient enough to wait for everything in life because doing things hurriedly only result in failure and losing track of a talent that only needed time to be nurtured.
“Let’s say you have fifteen years and you want to get married you should wait until you reach at least twenty-five years because you will be marriage ready and mature enough to take care of yourself as well as the responsibilities that comes with marriage.’’
“So my children please do not rush have patience, everything will fall into place one day even those who might not be regarded as not so beautiful ,I want to assure you that your God given girlfriend or boyfriend is out there because God has his perfect will for everyone which will be fulfilled in time,” he said.
He added that, youths should also refrain from taking drugs because he said that these drugs are killing them at a tender age.
“I want to say to my brothers and children please do not risk your lives by taking drugs because most young people are dying at an early age.
“Recently there was a young boy who was into drugs who took a knife and killed his mother and cut her into small pieces and ate her flesh and later he is was said to have passed on.
“So, I urge youths to stop taking drugs and ask their parents to help them with something so as to have a better life even selling tomatoes is better than taking drugs,” he added.
Manyeruke went on to urge parents to support their children no matter their bad behaviors.
“Parents let’s try and support our children in all times if that cannot work take them to social welfare, they are there to assist by giving education to such people.
“If your child is mentally disturbed you should take that child to Harare hospital there is a place for those people, so never stress yourselves parents you might loose wait because of that,” said Manyeruke.
Manyeruke said that there was a documentary which was filmed by one American telling Manyeruke’s whole life together with his musical journey, and he also said that there is also a book titled Kubva Muguruva which was written by Bonwell Choga in it is his life story.
