Prophet Passion Java has been accused for violating Covid-19 restrictions during his Harare to Bulawayo tour with the public calling for his arrest.
Prophet Java was on Saturday in Bulawayo with Mike Chimombe and the late businessman Genius Kadungure’s sister Nelia.
During the tour the man of the cloth, had stop overs in Kadoma, Kwekwe, Gweru and Bulawayo where Prophet Java’s fans turned out to meet him.
Critics have noted that during these meets there was no attempt to adhere to COVID-19 regulations including social distancing and the wearing of face masks.
The public has accused the police of the selective application of the law highlighting the case of Murewa vendors who were arrested last year for cheering Nelson Chamisa.
The vendors were fined for obstructing free movement of traffic and persons

Prominent businessman known as Mambo Ndini called for the arrest of Prophet Java.
”Sometime this year i was in the courts when my fellow family @levels_chillspot @fantan_chillspot charged by the courts over such gatherings ‘covid super spreader’, I cried kutobudisa misodzi chaiyo chaiyo ndichiona vakomana vachinzi 12 months imprisonment but zve sure they had commited a crime yekuunganidza vanhu yet the government had said NO GATHERINGS but I see from Harare to Bulawayo passion java was making sure vanhu vaungana him and his media team they made sure people are coming to them @zimbabwerepublicpolice please do something we don’t want our fellow people to die because of Covid-19.”
Journalist Hopewell Chin’ono posted, “Put aside the public stupidity, these people are not wearing masks!”
“If this had been @adv.nelsonchamisa he would have been locked up!
“Joanna and Cecilia have spent 55 days in jail for addressing a press conference where everyone was wearing a mask!
“Now to the stupidity, this is what Dr Nkosana Nkosana meant when he said Zimbabweans mirror ZANUPF leadership!
