7 Prince Edward Students Test Positive For Covid-19

Seven Prince Edward High School students tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing tests at Parirenyatwa Hospital.

Higher Life Foundation has partnered with Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals in offering free Covid-19 tests for students.

Prince Edward High School headmaster Dr Sora said as part of precautionary measures 256 boarders at the school were taken for the tests.

“Prince Edward School boarders were taken for Covid-19 testing at Parirenyatwa taking advantage of the free PCR testing being availed by the Higher Life Foundation,” he said.

“This was done as a precaution measure unfortunately, the first batch of results has indicated that seven 6 upper boarders tested positive for Covid-19.

“The rest of the results are still to come in but all 256 boarders were tested with the last test done on Wednesday 24 March 2021.”

He said students that had tested positive have since been quarantined.

“The affected have been quarantined while awaiting instruction from Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education,”
he said.

“All the relavant authorities have been informed.

“It is now up to parents to continue bringing their boys to school while waiting for further instructions
