Zaka community were left tongue- tied as four members of one family lost their lives Wednesday in a mysterious fire that destroyed a house they were sleeping into ashes.
These four members who perished in this fire incident include two grandchildren a boy and a girl, their mother and an old aged grandmother.
In an interview with Sly Media,Ephraim Manyanga the son of the deceased said this incident breaks his heart since it took his beloved family members who were staying in the rural area.
“I was called yesterday night at around ten by the neighbors saying that the house which my mother, two grandchildren and my maternal grandmother were sleeping got burnt.
“These people that died in this mysterious fire were the only the family I had in the village,” he said.
He added that, the bodies of the deceased were taken to St Antone hospital for postmortem.
“The police were called yesterday (Wednesday) but they come today morning and carried the bodies to the mortuary I think at St Antone hospital for postmortem.”
“There is a time where my mother called me saying that there was a boy who threatened to burnt the villager’s houses so we don’t know if he had proceeded with that,” he added.
He went on to say that at the moment the family needs help since they are supposed to bury the four at the same time.
“Right now, we are at a critical time, all that we need is anything from people so that we will be able to bury our loved ones,” he said.
This news crew called Assistance Commission Paul Nyathi for a comment and he said that they are still investigating the matter.
“We are still investigating the police is currently attending and we will release the information either today or tomorrow,” said Nyathi.
