35 Drug Peddlers Arrested In Mufakose

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) recently arrested 35 drug peddlers in Mufakose high density suburb.

 

 

The drug peddlers comprised of 4 females and 31 males.

 

 

 

 

Speaking on crime watch ZRP Crime Watch reporter Eliot Kudzai Ganyani said that the police will not turn a deaf ear to those who are taking drugs and those who are selling drugs.

 

 

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police will not turn a deaf ear on this and will do everything within its power to apprehend drug peddlers and drug abusers” he said.

 

 

 

The drugs that are being abused include mbanje, crystal meth commonly known as Mutoriro and the police said that they will continue raising awareness and arrest of these peddlers.

 

 

Mufakose resident Vincent said that “drugs and substance abuse has rocked our society, as a young person I am very concerned because it is posing a danger to our future, causing serious implications to the health to the extent that some do not eat proper food at all”.

 

 

In an effort to fight the drug peddlers, the local community has formed groups which will educate youths on the dangers of taking drug
