ZRP confirms the arrest of Nyasha Magaya (31), Fortune Rafamoyo (24) and Sandile Moyo (20) for a spate of unlawful entry into premises and theft cases in Bulawayo.

The suspects would scale durawalls to gain entry into premises before stealing household goods. The arrest has so far cleared 5 cases and led to the recovery of goods worth over ZWL$300 000. Investigations are in progress

The ZRP applauds members of the public for supplying credible information which goes a long way in fighting crime. Police in Chitungwiza arrested 3 bar owners and 20 patrons for flouting Covid-19 regulation after a tip off.

The ZRP reiterates that members of the public should not resort to violence when solving disputes. On 01/05/21 Police in Mount Darwin arrested a suspect aged 20 for murder after he struck the victim with a brick on his abdomen.

The suspect was having an altercation with his brother and he wanted to attack him with the brick but the brother dodged resulting in the brick hitting the victim. Investigations are underway

Police in Masvingo are investigating circumstances surrounding a suspected murder case following the discovery of a human body burnt beyond recognition on 31/05/21 in Rujeko B, Masvingo. Anyone with information to contact any nearest police station.

The operation, “No to cross border crimes/ Fhasi ngamilandu yamukanoni yamashango/Mhosva pamiganhu ngadzipere/ Amacala kawaphele emingceleni yelizwe” is ongoing.

A team comprising ZRP and ZNA arrested 2 suspects aged 42 and 35 on 30/05/21 for smuggling a motor vehicle at Chikwarakwara Base Beitbridge.

The team received a tip-off to the effect that the suspects intended to smuggle a white Toyota Hilux to Mozambique through Chikwarakwara illegal entry and exit point. Pursuant to the tip off the team intercepted the vehicle and arrested the suspect.

Police in Mt Darwin are investigating a case of infanticide following the discovery of a suspected day old baby which was found stashed in a plastic bag partially buried in sand in an unfinished house on 30/05/21 at Chitenda Village Mt Darwin.
